If the collective opinion of a group of individuals - the wisdom of the crowd will emerge rather than that of a single expert, it will form the solid foundation of the proposed system. The project initial structure will be enhanced if more people will come forwards with their proposal of how this synthesis should be represented. This, in turn, surfaces linkage not only between thought and sound but also between thought and picture. Such a metalanguage operates with concepts, images, ideograms, ideographic structures and ideas so that it develops a new perspective upon which to shape an “Eidostectonic Organon.” This organon is based on certain linguistic notions, but its infrastructure is influenced primarily by certain speculative-dialectical ideas.Īpplication of the linguistic distinction between concept and sound-image in the domain of visual thought and conceptual knowledge implies a change in the cultural basis of subjects and fields of interest. To account for this fact, it is postulated that there must be a distinctive bipolar “metalanguage,” based on seeing, knowing and imagining together.
This schema should demonstrate that what is true of visual language is also true of verbal language. Accordingly, a new schema is called for in order to describe and establish the common basis of conceptual and ideographic language. The main objective of the present project is to create a new synthesis, an amalgamation of different concepts, ideograms, and scientific theories together with historical, mythological, philosophical and artistic theories, aiming at shaping a new cultural system. All these ideas are part of the fundamental ground of the project, on which the pillars of the “Eidostectonic Organon” are to rest. A follow-up on various conceptual and visual principles, common ideas (regular, rational and irrational), analytical, and dialectic methods indicates the need for a new instrument to articulate the different patterns of the conceptual - versus - visual architectonic structure. The use of different notions of cultural postulates an articulated and systemized relations between concepts and pictures giving way to the possibility of representations via different structures. On the whole, this project focuses on the syntheses between conceptual and visual representations combined with their analyses.
